Agriculture & Food Agriculture and agribusiness account for nearly 20 percent of North Carolina's jobs and income, but the industry faces changing technology, world markets, consumer demands and environmental regulations. North Carolina Cooperative Extension's educational programs provide farmers and agribusinesses with the research-based knowledge they need to continue producing a stable, safe and affordable food supply in economically and environmentally sustainable ways. Your Cabarrus AGribusiness Council is working to encourage high school seniors that continue their education studying in an agribusiness related field by offering scholarships to State Universities or Community Colleges. There is scholarship money available and agribusiness encompasses a large variety of business and science related fields.
