Presentations for this year will be done digitally. Youth will submit a single uncut video of them doing their presentation. Check out our County Activity Day page to learn more. Talent will be held the same way. Cookery will be postponed until a later date.

NCSU has eliminated all face-to-face county level 4-H summer programming for summer 2020. Cabarrus County is working to revise our summer offerings to meet needs under these guidances.

All NC 4-H shooting sport competitions for 2020 have been cancelled.


March 27, 2020

NCSU has cancelled all on-campus, face-to-face summer programming. At this time, the NC 4-H camping program has cancelled all residential camping options at Millstone, Betsy Jeff Penn and Easter 4-H centers. We are beginning the refund process.

This also includes all horse competitions and shows. State Horse Judging will take place virtually.

March 23, 2020

NC Public Schools to remained closed until May 15, offering distance learning. Due to this announcement, Cabarrus County 4-H will move the Expressive Arts to an online format. Thank you to all who have entered. Stay tuned to see all of the fun entries and for more details about the contest winners.

March 21, 2020

To limit the spread of COVID-19, all 2020 qualifying horse shows will be canceled. At this time, we are optimistic the N.C. 4-H Horse Show will still happen as originally planned. However, this year the show will be open to any 4-H’er who wishes to participate who has an eligibility card approved by their agent. If you have not requested an eligibility card yet, please do so.

Deadline for Eligibility Card Request will be May 1, 2020.

All Cabarrus County 4-H & N.C. Cooperative Extension of Cabarrus County programs and face-to-face activities have been canceled until at least May 31, 2020.
