4-H Summer Fling Camps & Classes

Cabarrus County 4-H Summer Fling

Summer Fling will look different this year due to regulations around Covid-19. Please check back here often as we figure out how to offer these programs using distance learning techniques. We will not have face-to-face camps this year and virtual additions are being added regularly to the current schedule. Each event below will have individual registration. Please click event for details.

Enrollment in 4-H

Please enroll at nc.4honline.com  Select your specific club if you are registering for a club. If no club, select member at-large. Registration for events also takes place in 4Honline. Once member is approved, they can register for events.

Ongoing Programs

NC 4-H Ambassadors

This teen centered leadership program focuses on learning the basic of youth development in order to be able to share more about the impacts of 4-H and develop each of our teens personally. Topics range from leadership, communication, service, civic engagement and personal development. All summer long. Keep checking for the updated list

SPIN Clubs

These Special Interest (SPIN) clubs will meet regularly throughout the summer to share experiences about a specific topic.

Get OUTdoors! Adventure Club – This summer encourage your youth to get outdoors. Every Monday they will meet with other 4-H’ers across the district for a lesson, activity, and a challenge to get outside that week. Every Friday participants will share their experiences with the challenge from that week. Activities will include bike safety, Animal and Tree ID, Kites, Fitness Challenges, and Obstacle Courses. Once registration is closed you will receive meeting information. | June 1 – July 24 every Monday and Friday 1:00-2:00 p.m. All 4-H Youth |Registration is FREE and required.

Cloverbud Summer Spin Club (Must have access to Zoom) – Youth ages 5 to 8 will discover the wonders of 4-H with other youth across the South Central District. Club meetings will be the 1st & 3rd Thursdays at 6:00 via Zoom. Registration is free and required: June 4th – September 3rd.

Down to Earth Gardening SPIN Club (Via Zoom) – (Must have access to Zoom) – Youth ages 5-18 will learn about gardening options at their residence. Bi-weekly meetings allow for educational activities and mentorship with their own garden. Awards will be presented to youth at the end of the program. Meetings take place on every other Friday at 10 a.m. June 19 – Aug 14 via Zoom. Registration is free and required.

22-26 varies NC 4-H Summer Statewide CAMP OUT! Completely new and virtual camping experience for 2020. Space is limited! Free 8-14
22-26 Photography Daily Challenge Share your photos via our Facebook Page.  Will align with NC Photo Contest. Free 8-18

20-31 9-10 a.m. DIY T-Shirt Quilt Class Youth will complete their own T-Shirt Quilt.  Free 10+
28 9-10 & 2-3 Millionaire’s Club Increase your financial literacy and make a plan to manage your money.  $25 8-13
