Collapse ▲The Visit NC Farms App is designed for farms to close the gap between local foods and customers. The app has two main user groups, Farms, and Customers.
If you are a Farm in the app you can add a description of your farm, photos to highlight your operation, create events through your local Admin, list the products you sell, and add a link to your social media pages. As a farm, you can contact your Local App Administrator to schedule events and push notifications. Notifications can include upcoming sales, seasonal items in your shop, upcoming events, and much more!! These features are a great way to advertise your farm! All users of the app will receive push notifications directly to their mobile device based on their preferences set in the app!
If you are a Customer in the app, this just means you don’t have a farm listing, but you can still use the app on your mobile device! Customers in the app can use the search function to find local farms selling the produce they want. For example, a customer may search for “pumpkins” within 50 miles. This request would show them all of the farms that sell freshly harvested pumpkins within 50 miles of them. Customers receive push notifications from farms and check them out if they are interested!
