If you are interested in your child learning about and showing a dairy heifer, but don’t have the facilities necessary to do this on your own, this project is for you! Participants will gain hands-on learning experience with a dairy heifer and gain dairy knowledge and showmanship skills. This is limited to youths who reside in Rowan County, NC and are ages 5-18 (as of January 1).
This is a time commitment and all dates are listed at the rules & guidelines link below. Please allow your child to apply only if you can commit to the dates/times and can abide by all rules & guidelines.
There are several changes this year, so if your child did this project in 2023, PLEASE do not assume it will be the same this year and please make sure you read the information linked below. This year the registration process is by application, there are some changes in the rules, guidelines & requirements, and the location of practices is also different. Again, please take time to carefully read though the information linked below.
