Dreaming of raising your own animals but not sure where to start? Our Backyard Basics series is designed for beginners who want to learn the essentials of small-scale livestock production.


This hands-on, beginner-friendly class series will cover:

  • Practical care and management of poultry, dairy animals, pigs, and small ruminants

  • Housing, feeding, and general maintenance tips

  • Production insights to help you start your own backyard livestock operation


Whether you’re interested in homesteading, self-sufficiency, or just curious about raising animals responsibly, these classes are the perfect introduction.

  • October 29 – Pasture Pork
