Tomatoes and Salsa
Certain foods must be properly acidified to can in a water bath canner. This includes tomatoes, salsas, and pickles.
This hands-on workshop is designed for the person who wants to learn how to properly prepare acidified foods to be processed in a water bath canner, particularly tomatoes and salsa.
During our class, you will learn about why acidifying certain foods is essential for processing using a water bath canner, the equipment needed for canning, receive step-by-step instructions on the process, learn about sources for safety-tested canning recipes, and participate in a hands-on water bath canning activity.
