This 1.5-day school is in person. School hours are 8:30a.m.-5:00 p.m. on day one and 8:30-11:30 a.m. on day two. You may attend only one category session since the sessions happen at the same time. 

The NCDA&CS administers the exams on day two from 1:00-5:00p.m. However, pesticide exam fees are separate and paid to the NCDA&CS Inspector at the exam location. For exam information, visit http://www.ncagr.gov/spcap/pesticide-exam.

The school offers Core training on day one and the following categories on day two:

  • Ornamentals and Turf
  • Private/Farmers (Those registered for the Private/Farmers category attend training on day one only and return for the exams on day two.)

To gain the most from the Pesticide Safety School and to be prepared for the exams, please purchase and read your manuals ahead of time and bring them with you to class. 

  • Order Manuals Online - Go to our Pesticide Safety Education Program's main website. Choose "Pesticide Manuals - Online Ordering" from the red navigation pane on the left. It will load the ordering page. Create a new account. A welcome email will be sent to your inbox, and then you will be able to order the manuals. You can order the manuals tax-exempt as well.

Registrants will receive two emails a few days before the school dates. The first is a reminder email with the agenda, handouts, and important school details. The second is marked “time sensitive” and includes the exam registration link and a special code.

** If fewer than 20 registrants, you will be notified by email of the cancellation and offered a refund or a transfer toa future Pesticide Safety School.
