Happy Pollinator Week!

Celebrate by making your own Firefly Paper Circuit and spread the word about these great pollinators! Here are some easy to follow directions from our friends at The Jule Museum at Auburn University.   Though we don't have the great collection of art like they do, the art scene in Cabarrus County is pretty cool.  Can you find pollinators in the local artwork?  (Hint:  There's some pretty awesome artwork in our libraries!)

Stop by the Concord, Mt. Pleasant, Harrisburg or Midland branches of Cabarrus County Library to pick up your own DIY kit with everything you need to make your own Firefly Paper Circuit.  Each branch will have a collection of pollinator friendly books to check out as well!

While you are there, Unearth a Good Story, by joining the Summer Reading Program and check out all the cool events they have going on. Extension staff will also be visiting each branch with a Digging in the Dirt program where we will unearth the mysteries in your backyard soil. See each location for more information.
