County Council
Interesting in Joining Cabarrus County 4-H? This is the first meeting we recommend you attend. County Council meetings allow you to meet other 4-H’er in Cabarrus County and be informed about what is happenings in Clubs and in the County. Most meetings are surrounded by County Events such as; project record book submissions, achievement night, fair booths, presentations, expressive arts, and so much more! Leader: 4-H Agent – Most meetings are held at Cabarrus County Extension Office 715 Cabarrus Ave W Concord, NC.

Kickin’ Tails 4-H Club
Horse special interest club. Leader: Laura Harper – 704-425-1521. Meets 1st Monday of the month at 6:15 p.m. at Hollow Oak Farm, 100 Russette Ln., Midland, NC. Call for meeting information. Club Specialty: district and state horse knowledge competitions, shows, 4-H projects and presentations.
Carolina Co-Eds 4-H Club

Cloverbuddies 4-H Club for ages 5-8

Equine Explorers
Open to all youth interested in horses! We plan to meet monthly at area horse farms to learn about the local horse industry. Special Interest groups in Horse Judging and Horse Bowl Competitions. If interested please reach out to Livestock Agent Sarah Newman at 704-920-3310 or sarah_newman@ncsu.edu.
Blindshots 4-H Club

The shooting sports club can compete at competitions in which members will practice with an instructor outside meeting times. Cabarrus Youth Commission
Meets on the 1st and 3rd Monday of each month (September – May) at 5:30 p.m. at the Government Center. Limited seats (2 per school), appointed by the Cabarrus County Board of Commissioners. Open to high school students residing in Cabarrus County who are interested in learning more about local government and being actively involved in civic engagement.
