4-H Clubs

No matter what your interest or hobby there is sure to be a club for you. In Cabarrus County, we have several clubs from which to choose.

**Needs**  We are currently seeking adults who are willing to become fully vetted and trained 4-H volunteers to lead clubs in the Northwest Cabarrus, Kannapolis, and Harrisburg areas. If interested, please contact Tracy LeCompte at 704-920-3310


Flowe Store 4-H Club

A long-time 4-H Community Club in Cabarrus County. They meet the 2nd Tuesday of most months at Flowe Store Fire Dept. For information email:  lpennell@carolina.rr.com Youth explore a variety of interests including leadership, presentation skills and service.

Rimer 4-H Club

The Rimer 4-H Club is a longstanding Cabarrus County Club. They work hard on community service projects, science interest and 4-H projects. They meet the 1st Monday of the month at 6:30 p.m. at Cabarrus County Extension Office, 715 Cabarrus Ave. W, Concord, NC 28027. For information contact Alisa Wickliff at abwickli@uncc.edu.

Barn Bums 4-H Club

Horse special interest club. Leader:  Deena Bost – 704-791-9677 – Meets the 1st Wednesday of the month at 7 p.m. at the Circle K Arena on Gold Hill Road in Rockwell. Club Specialty:  Western competition

Kickin’ Tails 4-H Club

Horse special interest club. Leader:  Laura Harper – 704-425-1521. Meets 1st Monday of the month at 6:30 p.m. at Hollow Oak Farm, 100 Russette Ln., Midland, NC. Call for meeting information. Club Specialty: district and state horse knowledge competitions, shows, 4-H projects and presentations.

Saddle Up 4-H Club

Horse Special Interest Club. Leader:  Wendy Austin-Sellers – 704-661-0594. Meets 4th Sunday of month from 2-4 p.m. at Allee Bubba Farms, 3600 Wendy Lane in Concord. Call or email allee.bubbafarms@gmail.com for meeting information. Club Specialty:  Horse husbandry, community service, heritage chickens, ducks, honeybees and organic farming.

Fynnegan Farms

Horse Special Interest Club. Leader:  Kristen Klaus – 704-305-6064. Meets 2nd Wednesday of the month at 10855 Robinson Church Road, Charlotte, NC 28215. Call or email kristenkaus@gmail.com for information. Club Specialty: English Horsemanship and Hunter/Jumper disciplines.

Carolina Co-Eds 4-H Club

4-H club focusing on teen leadership, citizenship and college prep. Leader:  Wilma Means. They meet the 2nd Wednesday of the month at Cabarrus County Extension Office, 715 Cabarrus Ave. W, Concord, NC 28027 or at Logan Recreation Center, 184 Booker Dr. SW, Concord, NC 28025. Y.E.N. (Young Entrepreneurs of Now)

This club is for those interested in entrepreneurship, building your own business, set-up of booths at local events, learning about buying and selling, and building a professional network. They meet the 1st and 3rd Thursdays of the month at 7:00 p.m. at the Cabarrus County Extension Office, 715 Cabarrus Ave. W, Concord, NC 28027. Expressive Art 4-H Club

Meets on the 4th Monday of each month at the Cabarrus County Extension Office, 715 Cabarrus Avenue W, Concord NC 28027. Youth explore art of various media, crafts & craftmanship, and expression. Cloverbuddies for ages 5-8

Meets on the 1st and 3rd Thursday of each month from 6 p.m. to 7 p.m. at the Cabarrus County Extension Office, 715 Cabarrus Avenue W, Concord NC 28027. Join us for a club meeting designed just for ages 5-8, a short business meeting and fun activities each week. Creative Clovers Homeschool Club

Meets on the 1st Thursday of each month from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. at the Cabarrus County Extension Office, 715 Cabarrus Avenue W, Concord NC 28027. The club explores a variety of interests based on the members. For meeting information contact Jenn Scott at 917-656-1512

Fur & Feathers Animal Science Club

Meets on the 4th Tuesday of each month (Jan – Oct) at 7 p.m. at the Rimer Fire Department. Club explores all things livestock related:  cattle, dairy, sheep, goats, poultry, llamas, alpacas, knowledge competitions, judging, showing and much more! Club leader – Tracy Drye  tsdrye@ymail.com

4-H Project Club

Meets on the 3rd Tuesday of each month at 6 p.m. via Zoom. We will meet monthly on Zoom to focus on everyone’s 4-H project.    Must enroll in nc.4honline.com  Open to youth ages 5-18 (As of Jan 1)  Youth can participate in multiple clubs or as At-Large members. Teen Leadership Club

Meets on the 1st Tuesday of each month at 6 p.m. via Zoom. Perfect for teens who are seeking a collaborative group to learn about themselves, how to lead others, and make connections in the community. Each month we will be learning a new leadership strategy or activity. Perfect for teens who already serve in leadership roles and are in need of activities to help lead others and for those seeking to learn more about themselves, their leadership styles, priorities and values. Youth must be enrolled in nc.4honline.com. Select Teen Leadership Club in the club options.

Cabarrus Youth Commission

Meets on the 1st and 3rd Monday of each month (September – May). Limited seats (2 per school) appointed by the Cabarrus County Commissioners. Open to high school students residing in Cabarrus County who are interested in learning more about local government and being actively involved in civic engagement. Applications accepted year long for open seats. Youth serve 2 year terms.
